Although it is a well-known fact that Roundup leads to cancer, Monsanto, acquired by Bayer AG, has not yet withdrawn the product in order to protect its sales and profits. Bayer has been dealing with all the health and environmental issues by spending millions of dollars on the defense of their product. Monsanto had a key aim of preventing a huge loss of several billion dollars. However, the agrochemical giant announced in 2021 that it would stop selling Roundup to residential consumers in 2023.
